Gertraud Ströbinger
(second violin)
Gertraud Ströbinger was born in Vienna and grew up in Lower Austria. At the BORG Wiener Neustadt she received violin, piano and recorder lessons. After leaving school she intensified her instrumental music education with Doris Dorer ( violin) and Fereshteh Rahbari ( transverse flute ) at the music school Donaustadt. At the same time Gertraud Ströbinger studied General Pedagogy, Special Needs Education and Therapeutic Pedagogy at the University of Vienna and completed her studies with a master’s degree.
Gertraud Ströbinger was soon taken on by several orchestras or ensembles with a focus on classical Viennese dance and operetta music, such as the Orchestra of the Bühne Baden, the Franz Lehar Orchestra or the Ladies‘ Orchestra Wiener Walzertraum. Several tours led her to Germany, Italy, Greece, Japan and Indonesia.
As a member of the Penzinger Konzertschrammeln Getraud Ströbinger participated in several performances of the Johann Strauss Society of Vienna and in 2023, was engaged as the second violinist in the newly founded Concert Schrammel Quartet of the Johann Strauss Society of Vienna.
